Job Title: Associate GIS Developer Company: Prologis A day in the life As an Associate GIS Developer, you would be part of the Global Strategy Analytics (GSA) team, focusing on the development and implementation of applications to support site selection and business decision-making. This role involves developing UI/UX interfaces, creating customized widgets and application capabilities, collaborating with various internal teams, and staying updated on GIS technologies to enhance GIS capabilities. The position emphasizes innovation, stakeholder communication, and application of GIS development to provide tools to identify market trends and opportunities. This position offers the flexibility of being in any of our local offices, with potential for hybrid or remote Key responsibilities include: Custom Development Company expert to design, develop, and maintain custom Esri Experience Builder Dev Edition applications, widgets, and web tools. Develop automated scripts for data processing, ELT workflows, and geoprocessing tasks. Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks. Research, evaluate, and onboard new GIS technologies, APIs, frameworks, and development best practices. Contribute to design standards, coding guidelines, and reusable component libraries. Dashboard Development Design, develop, and maintain GIS web applications predominantly using Esri but also Tableau, Sigma, and other GIS technologies. Develop tools for spatial analysis and visualization that support data-driven decision making. Support geospatial analytical projects and scale analyses to company-wide products. Translate user revenue-generating needs into functional application components and workflows. Advocate for business outcomes, speed, and influencing their multimillion-dollar decisions Building blocks for success Required: 3+ years of hands-on experience in GIS development. Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, SQL, HTML, CSS, and Arcade. Demonstratable experience with Esri Experience Builder Developer Edition, Git, Esri ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript (v4.x), and familiarity with Calcite components. GIS platform proficiency (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, Tableau, Sigma) Ability to provide support to multiple projects through each sprint. History of creative solutions to business problems of high complexity. Strong critical thinking skills, intellectual curiosity, and desire to problem solve. Ability to cause and embrace change and adapt to evolving business needs. High attention to detail and strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Commitment to a business-first culture and the democratization of geospatial data. Preferred: Bachelors Degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or a related field (or applicable work experience). Hiring Salary Range of: $94,000 - $118,000. Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target) to be determined by the candidates location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
