Job Title: Client Service Representative (CSR) Location: VCA Emergency Animal Hospital & Referral Center San Diego, CA VCA Emergency Animal Hospital & Referral Center is a fast-paced, 24-hour emergency and specialty referral hospital located in beautiful San Diego, California. We recently opened our brand-new, state-of-the-art facility and are expanding our team! We are currently seeking a Client Service Representative (CSR) to be the welcoming face and voice of our hospital. As a CSR, you will play a critical role in providing outstanding service to our clients while supporting our medical team in delivering exceptional care to their pets. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, thrives in a busy environment, and has a passion for helping people and animals. Schedule : Full-time 4/10 hour shifts Compensation: $ 20 - $ 25/hour Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Greeting clients and checking in emergency and specialty patients with warmth and efficiency Answering high-volume phones, directing calls, and taking detailed messages for doctors and staff Scheduling appointments and managing multi-department calendars Accurately entering client and patient information into the hospital information system Explaining hospital policies, estimates, and services to clients Processing invoices, collecting payments, and managing financial transactions Assisting with client communications during emergency situations Providing support and empathy during end-of-life care discussions and client grief Qualifications: Minimum 12 years of customer service experience, preferably in a veterinary, medical, or high-volume environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced setting while maintaining accuracy and professionalism Proficient in computers and multi-line phone systems Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as part of a 24/7 hospital team Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus but not required This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative and supportive hospital team where your role truly makes a difference in the lives of pets and their families.
