Job Description: The Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accounting policies are implemented and adhered to as required. This role will partner and consult with operational leaders, corporate staff and other professionals. The Sr. Accountant role requires extensive knowledge of GAAP and superior analytical abilities. This role will assist in the training of other team members to further the growth and development of the department. The Sr. Accountant role offers an interesting variety of projects and ample opportunity for professional growth and development. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Performs general ledger accounting including journal entries, account analysis, and reconciliation Participates in the monthly and year end close process, and assists with financial audits Reconciles balance sheet accounts, researches and resolves reconciling items Reviews revenue and expenses and identifies adjustments for proper matching Prepares financial statements including balance sheet and income statement Works with management to identify process and/or system improvement opportunities, recommends solutions and assists with implementation Collaborates with operational business units and other finance team members to ensure a thorough understanding of financial data Strong communication skills to work with the operational business units for a better understanding of financial data Ensures processes and procedures follow company policies Assists the FP&A team with the budgeting process Supports the training and development of other staff Special projects as assigned Qualifications & Skills: Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Experience compiling and reviewing P&L reporting Demonstrated ability to effectively interpret financial results and data Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with levels of management Demonstrated decision making, critical thinking, and analytics skills Must possess strong attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Organized and able to manage time and multiple tasks wisely Takes initiative and is proactive in addressing issues Ability to work independently in a pro-active manner, or within a team environment Demonstrated professional growth Demonstrated ability to successfully lead projects Proven ability to effectively transfer knowledge to build cross functional team competence Minimum Requirements: Education: Bachelors Degree in Accounting; CPA preferred Experience: Minimum 3 years of progressive experience working as Senior Accountant in private or public accounting. Manufacturing exposure preferred. Systems: Microsoft Office Suite with Intermediate MS Excel user, Google Suite, experience with Oracle, SAP or similar operating systems Managerial Responsibilities: N/A Travel Requirements: May be required to travel to other Cambria locations periodically Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time Cambrias starting salary range for this position is $85,000 - $110,000. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hires for the position. Individual pay is determined by several factors, including work location, job-related experience, and relevant education and/or training.
