Job Description Summary Homeownership is considered the American Dream and is the biggest contributor to personal wealth creation. However, neighborhoods across Detroit continue to struggle with disrepair.Forty-three percent of Detroiters reporthaving at least one major home repair need, and 13% live in inadequate housing, a category which includes exposed wires or electrical problems, broken furnace or heating problems, or lack of hot or running water. People living in unsafe, unhealthy homes are at greater risk of developing health conditions like asthma, suffering injuries from trips and falls, and struggling to pay utilities bills. These conditions erode the health of Detroit families, increase displacement risk, diminish wealth building, and destabilize neighborhoods. In response to this great need, Enterprise worked with partners to establish the Detroit Home Repair Fund (DHRF) and address the critical health and safety home repair needs of Detroit homeowners with lower incomes. The program is managed by Enterprise, supported with technical assistance from the Green & Healthy Homes Initiative, and implemented in collaboration with 14 nonprofit partners working in specific neighborhoods and across the city. To date, DHRF has completed repairs in over 725 homes, reaching nearly 1,400 Detroiters. Enterprise seeks to continue the success of DHRF and bring complementary resources to the community through the launch of a new initiative: the Detroit Energy-Efficiency & Home Improvement Program (DEEHIP). Funded by HUD via Community Project Funding secured by Representative Tlaib, DEEHIP will focus on providing low-income Detroit homeowners with energy-efficiency and weatherization improvements. This position with Enterprise Detroits Home Repair Team is an excellent opportunity for a talented professional to engage in meaningful issues affecting Detroit residents. The Program Manager will be responsible for launching and implementing DEEHIP, assisting with the day-to-day operations of DHRF, and expanding Enterprises impact in Detroit. The position reports to the Associate Director of Programs. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and effective team player eager to support the Enterprise team and external partners. This role is dynamic and evolving, requiring flexibility, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Job Description Responsibilities: Manage the launch and implementation of the Detroit Energy-Efficiency & Home Improvement Program (DEEHIP). Assistwith management of the Detroit Home Repair Fund (DHRF), seeking alignment and integration with DEEHIP where possible. Develop andmaintainclose working relationships with home repair partners, including funders, grantees, subcontractors, technicalassistanceproviders, and program managers of complementary initiatives. Provide support and oversight to grantees, including through regular 1:1 check-ins and cohort meetings. Manage grant and contract renewals, modifications, and funding disbursements, working closely with internal partners, including Enterprises Operations Management team. Work with grantees and subcontractors to ensure grant and contract requirements and milestones are met, including key performance indicators (KPIs), workflow processes, data entry, anddocumentation submission. Work with DEEHIP and DHRF partners to gather program data on an ongoing basis and deliver regular progress reports to funders and other key stakeholders. Monitor DEEHIP and DHRF outcomes and adapt program requirements as needed based on feedback from grantees and partners. Identifyand elevate critical issues and opportunities related to program implementation, including the intersection of federal, state, and local policy matters. Work with Enterprise Detroit staff, Enterprise Marketing team, and DEEHIP and DHRF partners on program marketing, including providing regular updates to the Enterprise Detroit webpage, developing program summaries and other informational materials, and occasionally collaborating on blog posts and editorial articles. Seek synergies with other Enterprise programs and initiatives when possible. Participate in local coalition meetings that support the success of DEEHIP and DHRF; this mayinclude some evening and weekend events Prepare and occasionally deliver public presentations for conferences, convenings, and community informational sessions. Conductresearchas necessary. Otherresponsibilities as theyarise. Qualifications: Undergraduate degreerequired. Minimum of 4 years of experience in relevant community development, public policy, government, banking and finance, nonprofit, or real estate development.Graduatedegreemay be substituted for up to two (2) years of experience. Project management experience, with a strong preference for home repair experience. Strong organizational and program management skills. Ability to work independently on most assignmentsand toself-initiate projects. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and assignments, meet tight deadlines, coordinate efforts, and communicate effectively among widely dispersed partners. Judgment in planning and structuring complex project work. Stronginterpersonal, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to navigate complex relationships, deliver compelling presentations,write and edit proposals and reports, and apply critical thinking and problem-solving to program delivery. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel. Ability todemonstrateconcepts graphically through PowerPoint and other visually oriented media. Experience working with a diverse range of communities and people. Evidence of commitment to social and economic justice and public service. Lived experience and service that informs worldviews and perspectives about creating social equity across race, ethnicity, language, social class, gender, sexuality, religion, disability, and other dimensions. Successful experience working in a team setting, with experience working with virtual teams, including colleagueslocatedacross multiple offices, desired. The salary range for this position is represented by the low and high end of the range for the amount to be paid for the position. Salaries paid at Enterprise will vary based on factors that may include skills, education, location, experience, and performance. The salary range is just a part of the total rewards package provided to employees at Enterprise, and other rewards may include annual performance bonuses and generous paid leaveprograms.
