Orchid is Seeking an Agency Development Manager to join our growing team The ADM is responsible for generating and growing qualified quote submissions and written premium via our agency distribution channel. Proactive efforts will include activities that keep agents informed on systems, products, and underwriting guidelines as well as prospecting new agencies and general account management. To be successful as an ADM, you should be able to build instant rapport with people and be a good listener. How You Will Contribute Cultivate relationships with new and existing assigned agents to direct qualified risk selection Generates new premium growth through interaction with existing agencies (calls, emails, f2f visits, etc.) Identifies and develops new agency opportunities through prospecting Trains new and existing assigned agencies and follows up on outstanding questions Become a subject matter expert on our product offerings and core system(s) Provide general account management for agencies and maintain accurate records of all sales activities via Salesforce Collaborates with the marketing department to ensure consistent agent communication Proactively monitors key performance indicators outliers and be solutions oriented Works proactively with product management to communicate competitive information and to convey necessary product modifications or new opportunities Demonstrated ability to meet and/or exceed goals Monitors and reports newly appointed agency metrics such as quote volume and written premium Monitors incomplete quote activity to identify training opportunities This is a remote position and will require frequent travel for in-person agency visits, trade shows and/or conferences Performs additional responsibilities as assigned by management Licenses and Certifications: P&C insurance license (4-40 or 2-20 preferred) Skills & Experience to Be Successful Minimum of 2-4 years P&C industry experience Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM software such as Salesforce Positive attitude and friendly demeanor This position requires routine travel which may require the teammate to drive their own vehicle or a rental vehicle. Acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are a requirement of this position. 5+ years P&C industry experience (preferred) Previous Personal Lines Excess & Surplus experience a plus (preferred) Strong familiarity with Salesforce CRM (preferred) Pay Range $80,000 - $90,000 Annual The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
