Full Job Description

The Risk Mgnt Country Officer is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family. Responsibilities Independently monitor global and country developments and lead research efforts on relevant topics as needed. Review and challenge proposals for macroeconomic forecasts Review and challenge the framework used to generate macroeconomic forecasts Review and challenge sovereign rating and country Watchlist proposals Prepare PowerPoint presentations (using Excel or other graphical tools) to convey the teams analyses and views. Prepare memos summarizing the outcome of the review and challenge process Build analytical tools to aid in review of macroeconomic forecasts Qualifications 6-10 years relevant experience Ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organization Ability to both work collaboratively and autonomously; ability to navigate a complex organization Advanced analytical skills Excellent project management and organizational skills and capability to handle multiple projects at one time Extensive knowledge of all legal, regulatory, appraisal, and corporate policies and procedures in order to ensure business compliance to minimize corporate risk Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Education Bachelors/University degree, Masters degree preferred This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
