The Consultant helps State Medicaid agencies strengthen their Medicaid Program Integrity efforts by contributing to project management and business development activities for current and future engagements. This role leads project workstreams, partners with state agencies to identify and implement innovative solutions to improve fraud, waste, abuse, compliance, and operational performance, and supports and leads major business development activities. Successful candidates combine strong operational consulting skills with an interest in Medicaid policy, operations, data analytics, and client relationship management. Duties and Responsibilities Provides implementation and project management support across multiple client engagements. Manages small projects, staff and tasks with limited supervision while meeting and exceeding performance expectations. Reviews and be the expert in the business operations for service and efficiency improvements Analyzes and interprets federal and state law and regulation. Assesses best practices and provide technical assistance to clients. Facilitates client discussions. Delegates tasks and responsibilities to team members. Supports business development activities, including researching industry trends, contributing to team discussions, and identifying new and emerging opportunities. Leads proposal writing teams, including writing sections, coordinating efforts, and preparing proposal submissions. Prepares other written reports, major deliverables, and other materials for clients. Other project and business development responsibilities as necessary. Required skills Ability to understand both the service delivery system for programs which are administered by states and monitored by federal regulators. Ability to understand and be an expert in complex federal regulations and requirements specifically related to Medicaid Program Integrity, Medicaid managed care and Medicaid provider oversight. Strong Microsoft Office applications skills Ability to use sound judgment in completing tasks and to seek guidance when needed. Attention to detail and ability to work with large data sets with accurate results. Ability to move projects forward within a specific timeline and budget while working at a detailed level. Commitment to exceptional client service. Creative problem-solving ability and a consultancy mindset. Dedication to accomplishing goals and challenges presented by clients and management. Ability to interact with various levels of management and with clients. Flexible, self-starter possessing intellectual curiosity. Enthusiasm for life-long learning and staying well-informed about current business issues. Able to follow, critically evaluate, and improve upon current processes. Excellent business writing skills and ability to make presentations to various audiences. Ability to recognize issues and identify solutions. Qualifications Bachelors degree or 5 years experience required; Masters degree (MPA or government focused MBA) preferred 5+ years of Medicaid oversight, program integrity, or public sector consulting experience preferred. Compensation: Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, PCG provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave. Range: $70,100 - $80,000 PCG does not sponsor newly hired foreign national workers for work authorization, including H-1B sponsorship.
