The DOF leads fiscal analysis and guidance, property assessments, budgeting, accounting functions, enforcement of fiscal policies, practices and procedures for the entire City and County of Denver. The DOF fulfills the state statutory responsibilities for tax assessment and collection. DOF also manages the Citys debt portfolio and investment portfolio. The DOF commits to delivering these services through a financial structure that reflects the best practices of both the public and private sectors. This commitment promotes better service, enhanced performance measures, maximum accountability, and improved business processes. About Denver Motor Vehicle Denver Motor Vehicle (DMV) is authorized as an agent of the State Department of Revenue as outlined in the Colorado Revised Statutes to register and title vehicles and to collect, record, and deposit all taxes and fees prescribed for vehicles owned or operated by residents and business owners within the City and County of Denver. Denver Motor Vehicle is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Agency Trainer. In this role, the Agency Trainer will provide Motor Vehicle program training, develop computer-based materials including web-based training, and support staff on the floor and provide over the shoulder guidance and development. The ideal candidate must have a sincere passion for training others, have excellent organizational and communication skills, accept accountability for their actions, and exhibit an unwavering loyalty to Motor Vehicle and Department of Finance mission. The DMV Agency Trainer will be responsible for the development and delivery of program-specific training, such as Motor Vehicle Titling, Vehicle Ownership Tax Assessment, DRIVES, cash handling, mail processing, customer service skills, and other training responsibilities as assigned. Specifically, as a Motor Vehicle Agency Trainer you will: Work with agency leadership and a co-trainer for the agency and 3rd party partnership development needs. Conducting training and supporting the other trainers within the classroom and outside of the classroom Designing and development of agency specific training programs including classroom and over the shoulder training, determining appropriate learning objectives and methodology to be used, developing course curriculums, and reviewing course content with managers and subject matter experts Developing appropriate training tools per the training content and training environment. The development and delivery of various web-based training knowledge and skill is preferred Evaluating student progress using written examinations and/or practical examinations, auditing trainees work, and adjusting teaching approaches to accommodate students' needs Consulting with staff members and managers to determine if training programs are meeting the needs of the agency Updating training materials and methods to keep current with new techniques, and evaluating and modifying training programs as needed Preparing reports regarding the effectiveness of training and preparing and maintaining records on student progress What Youll Bring We value diversity of ethnicity, race, socioeconomic status, sexual identity, gender, religion, language, ability, and experience and exemplify this through the makeup of our team at all levels. Our ideal candidate has some or all the following experience, skills, and characteristics: Knowledge and experience with the DRIVES Motor Vehicle programs Experience with adult education, including training and curriculum development Background in development and design of various training material and the use of various training tools, as well as online web-based trainings Knowledge in creating PowerPoint training materials and presentations Public speaking and presentation skills Required Minimum Qualifications Education requirement: Bachelor's Degree. Experience Requirement: Two (2) years of experience assisting with educational or training duties and responsibilities in a structured setting. Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements. License/Certifications: Requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application.
