Key Responsibilities Meal Preparation & Nutrition Compliance Prepare meals and snacks following TGS menus and USDA portion guidelines. Accommodate food allergies and dietary restrictions as specified by parents. Sanitation & Safety Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen and cafeteria areas, including dishes, counters, equipment, utensils, cabinets, and floors. Ensure all kitchen equipment is in safe, working condition. Keep all chemicals and cleaning supplies securely locked. Monitor and restock janitorial supplies in classrooms and bathrooms. Inventory & Ordering Monitor food and supply inventory; reorder as needed using standard vendor forms. Rotate food stock regularly and ensure proper labeling and storage. Verify accuracy and condition of deliveries and store items appropriately. Break down and dispose of boxes properly. Make local supply purchases when necessary. Compliance & Training Attend all required TGS, local health, and state department training. Partner with local health inspectors to ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Educational Support & Other Duties Collaborate with teachers to support kitchen-related lesson plans and activities. Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the smooth operation of the school. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (required). Previous experience in early childhood settings preferred. CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain. Meets all state-specific licensing and experience requirements. Physical Requirements Frequently lifts or moves weight as in lifting, carrying, and holding children and infants of 10 to 60 pounds. Ability to bend, reach, and move freely between classrooms. Regular and reliable attendance. Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
