Hourly Pay Range: $18.84 - $27.32 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Position Highlights: Position: Research Assistant -Per Diem (Segal Family Internship in Cerebrovascular Medicine) Location: Evanston Hospital Hours: Per Diem - Time approx. 8 hrs/week as Research Assistant, with additional unpaid observation time. What you will do: Conduct literature research for the development of study protocols and analyses Assist with maintaining and filing appropriate documentation with IRB and grant making agencies. Assist in the development of all study forms, necessary database programs and data collection/entry strategies with senior staff Read and understand the protocol and any other pertinent information for each scheduled study. Be held accountable for understanding and completing all protocol requirements. Completion of required NIH training and NorthShore RI research training Coordinate study requirements with other research personnel and adjust work schedule accordingly. Communicate with other departments as needed to coordinate and conduct elements of research protocol Abstract charts with attention to detail Communicate all study/protocol deviations and adverse events to the PI or MD in a timely and efficient manner to ensure subject care and safety. Maintain subject and sponsor confidentiality at all times. Maintain accurate and organized documentation for each project Database creating and management including safekeeping files, entering data gathered during study, and ensuring data integrity. Assist with analysis of collected data and creation of resulting manuscripts and posters What you will need: Education: High School degree (preferably in social, biological, computer or healthcare sciences) required Experience: At least one year of undergraduate college experience; prior clinical and/or lab experience is preferred, but not required Skills: Skills with Microsoft Office, coding, data analysis, copy machines, fax machines, Endeavor Health is a fully integrated healthcare delivery system committed to providing access to quality, vibrant, community-connected care, serving an area of more than 4.2 million residents across six northeast Illinois counties.
