Ferguson is currently seeking an individual to fill an immediate need for a Fabrication Manager. Responsibilities Read blueprints and specification to determine the scope of work: locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required Prioritize workflow through the shop and use all resources to implement tasks efficiently and effectively to meet delivery deadlines Identify all tools required for tasks Identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks Responsible for performance metrics, process improvement, and lean thinking Prepare, fabricate, install, and fit pipe to specifications Install valves, hangers, supports, flanges inside piping system according to plans, and applicable specifications Perform test to ensure the quality of the pipe and the piping systems Hoist loads using slings, chains, shackles, hooks, cables, and other rigging equipment Qualifications 3+ years of direct supervisory/management experience as a job site foreman, fab shop supervisor, or project manager 10 years minimum experience in the mechanical contracting or process piping industry Ability to read prints and illustrate detailed knowledge of pipe fitting procedures and skills Previous experience in the mechanical contracting or process piping industry with pipe fitting processes preferred Welding experience is a plus but not required Must have good problem-solving abilities Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with individual contributors, teams, peers, and leadership Ferguson is dedicated to providing meaningful benefits programs and products to our associates and their familiesgeared toward benefits, wellness, financial protection, and retirement savings.
