We are looking for you to join our team as an Industrial Engineer / Principal Industrial Engineer based out of Linthicum, MD. As an Industrial Engineer, you will be assigned to a manufacturing cell and paired with an experienced lead Industrial Engineer (IE) with the expectation of quickly gaining the skills to either take over the lead role or to take over a single IE manufacturing cell. You will work closely with the manufacturing leadership team in efforts to achieve the following: What Youll Get to Do: Monitor labor performance and develop plans for improvement Monitor capital resource loading and develop plans for capacity management Coordinate facility capital plan execution Define and document process designs (product routings) Use and maintain models for standard work assignment Lead Continuous Improvement activities (e.g. 5-S, VSM, 6-Sigma) May establish or assist in establishing accident prevention measures May manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations Basic Qualifications: Level 2 Bachelors degree in Science, Engineering, or another STEM area with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Industrial Engineering Operations and/or Manufacturing Engineering; Masters degree in Science, Engineering, or another STEM area with experience in Industrial Engineering Operations and/or Manufacturing Engineering Basic Qualifications: Level 3 Bachelors degree in Science, Engineering, or another STEM area with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Industrial Engineering Operations and/or Manufacturing Engineering; Masters degree in Science, Engineering, or another STEM area with a minimum of 3 of experience in Industrial Engineering Operations and/or Manufacturing Engineering Preferred Qualifications: Degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering An advanced degree (MS) Experience with SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system Experience in defense, aerospace, or automotive industries Experience working in a manufacturing/production environment in a technical capacity What We Can Offer You: Northrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment which encourages your growth and supports the mutual success of our people and our company. Primary Level Salary Range: $77,600.00 - $116,400.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $95,800.00 - $143,600.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
