This part-time position is responsible for designing and implementing personalized fitness programs that cater to a diverse clientele ranging from beginner to advanced fitness enthusiasts. The Personal Trainer works with Olathe Community Center clients to identify personal health and fitness goals, customize workouts, and create plans to meet their goals. Key Responsibilities Conducts fitness assessments and personal training sessions for clients; establishes personal goals and objectives to develop individualized workout plans based on clients' fitness levels, goals, and preferences; provides instruction on proper exercise techniques and motivates and inspires clients to achieve their goals. Maintains accurate records of client progress and session details. Promotes Community Center fitness programs and services to members and potential clients; stays current with fitness trends and certifications. Qualifications Experience: At least one year of personal training experience is preferred. Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A degree in exercise science, kinesiology, or related field is preferred. Licenses & Certifications: Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) certification from a nationally recognized organization (e.g., NASM, ACE, ISSA, ACSM) is required. Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications, or the ability to obtain within the first 30 days is required. Environmental or Physical Demands : Ability to stay focused in a bustling environment. Job involves demonstrating exercises and working alongside fitness clients which requires balance, endurance, and physical mobility in a variety of fitness conditions along with the ability to lift and maneuver at least 50 pounds.
