This position will work Monday - Friday, 7:00am 3:30pm, with occasional weekends as needed. Who We Are & What Youll Do Denver Parks and Recreation is seeking a full-time Facility Maintenance Technician that will report to and support the City and County of Denvers beautiful Mountain Parks. This position will be responsible for a variety of construction, maintenance, and upkeep of our Mountain Parks Amenities. The incumbent will have the opportunity to work independently and as a part of a small team. We are looking for a well-rounded and experienced Maintenance Technician who can work effectively on a team but is highly-motived enough to complete work orders and projects independently as needed. Specifically, as the Facility Maintenance Technician you will have: Experience in maintenance and repair of a variety or machinery and equipment. Our ideal candidate will have: Great time management Ability to work independently as well as on a team Excellent written and verbal communication Construction and maintenance experience in commercial facilities or parks amenities; such as fencing, asphalt, concrete work, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, welding and trail projects Knowledge of machines, materials and tools as they relate to their use and the appropriate items needed to complete a project We realize your time is valuable so please do not apply if you do not have at least the following required minimum qualifications: Education requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate Experience Requirement: Three (3) years of experience performing a variety of duties in construction, mechanical, or facility maintenance Education/Experience Equivalency: Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements License/Certifications: This job requires driving.
