Located at 400 Highland Avenue in Salem, MA, our team evaluates and treats a wide range of urologic conditions and includes board-certified experts in minimally invasive surgical techniques, including laparoscopic, endoscopic, extracorporeal, and percutaneous approaches. As a Medical Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting both clinical and non-clinical patient services under the direction of healthcare providers. You will help ensure patients feel welcomed, informed, and cared for while supporting physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff with efficient patient flow and high-quality care delivery. What Youll Do Welcome patients, obtain medical information, and measure vital signs, weight, and height. Prepare patients, examination rooms, and necessary equipment for healthcare providers. Document medical histories, vital statistics, test results, and other patient information in the medical record. Support patient scheduling, telephone communication, insurance forms, and other general office responsibilities. Serve as a liaison across departments and advocate for patients with a positive, service-oriented approach. Collect, log, and prepare blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens for testing. Maintain clean, stocked treatment rooms and follow proper cleaning, sterilization, and disposal procedures. Qualifications What Were Looking For High School Diploma or equivalent required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred. Certified Medical Assistant credential preferred. Direct medical assistant experience or related medical field experience preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered mindset. Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy clinical environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, privacy standards, and confidentiality requirements. Comfort using electronic health record systems and medical office software.
