Life, Fac & Op | PM Position Type: Regular Open Date: 09-25-2025 Close Date: $18.22 / hour Job Description: Housekeeper Frostburg State University (FSU) seeks applications for a nonexempt full-time Housekeeper. Hourly rate of $18.22; includes the University of Maryland benefits package which includes annual leave, holidays, personal, and sick leave; tuition remission; excellent health and life insurance, and retirement plans. This positions hours may occur during any of the shifts at FSU, may be on an on-call rotation for nights and weekends. Responsibilities: Under direct supervision, maintain University residence hall and student affairs building interiors and ensure clean, orderly, and attractive conditions in assigned areas according to set tasks and frequencies. Provide housekeeping services including but not limited to vacuuming; refuse collection; sanitizing and disinfecting restrooms; sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors; and cleaning windows, blinds, and furniture. Operate standard cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, buffers, and scrubbers. May be required to move furniture and equipment. Other work-related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Successful completion of a pre-employment physical examination. Other: Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience, and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience. Preferred Qualifications: Previous housekeeping experience and basic computer knowledge.
