Coffee Roasting Technician -2nd Shift

Join our team as a Production Technician Roaster and play a key role in producing the high-quality coffee our customers love. In this hands-on manufacturing role, you'll operate roasting equipment, monitor roast profiles, maintain quality standards, and ensure every batch meets our commitment to excellence. Working in a fast-paced production environment, you'll combine attention to detail with technical skill to keep operations running safely and efficiently. Schedule: This position works 2nd Shift, Monday- Friday 3:30pm-12:00am Pay: $20-22/hr What You Will Do: Operate roasting and grinding equipment to meet daily production schedules. Maintain top-tier quality and food safety by following all QC checks, documentation, and procedures. Collaborate closely with your team to meet goals safely and efficiently. Communicate equipment or process issues to the appropriate departments for quick resolution. Take ownership of cleanliness, maintenance, and continuous improvement at your station. Taste, evaluate, and refineparticipate in cuppings and sensory sessions to keep every roast true to its profile. Participate in development opportunities to grow your technical roasting and production expertise. Who You Are: Required: A hands-on, detail-oriented problem solver with a passion for coffee and craftsmanship. A dependable team player who takes pride in precision and quality, and is comfortable working independently. Adaptable, motivated, and always eager to learn something new. Someone who values safety, collaboration, and doing things the right wayevery time. Preferred: A strong interestor prior experiencein the coffee industry (barista, roaster, or similar) is a plus. Prior experience with Caribou or Peet's Coffee is a big plus. Physical Requirements and Environmental Exposures: The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, in addition to the following: Able to work 8-hour shifts while standing, lifting, bending, and reaching Must be able to work on your feet for over 9 straight hours Able to perform physical tasks that are repetitive and lift up to 30 lbs on a regular basis Must be able to lift 80 pounds 20% of the shift Must be able to endure constant leaning and bending during shift Must be able to handle/move up to 750-pound bins on casters The environmental exposures for this position are: Airborne particles, fumes, high places, moving parts, muscular strain, noise, odors, high temperatures These physical requirements must be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodation. The target annual base salary range for this position is $20 $22 per hour. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including the applicants qualifications, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education, certifications or licenses, other legitimate non-discriminatory business factors, and the geographic location of the role. In addition to base pay, individuals in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
