Base Pay Range: $91,500.00 - $155,000.00 Annual Primary Location: USA-MI-Ann Arbor-KLA KLAs total rewards package for employees may also include participation in performance incentive programs and eligibility for additional benefits identified below. Job Description/Preferred Qualifications In this role: Main responsibilities will be performing electromagnetic simulations and developing next-generation solvers. Candidate must be able to work within a small team environment, work with outside contractors, consultants. Provide effective presentation and written evaluations to internal customers to show capabilities of the product concept. Interface with customers to understand the requirement of their needs. Feedback on product performance and market gaps back to the marketing and engineering teams. This candidate must work closely with other internal development programs within KLA. Qualifications: Doctorate (Academic) in the physical sciences or engineering. Strong background in applied mathematics and electromagnetics. Proficient in numerical simulations, preferably in computational electromagnetics. Strong background in computer programming, especially in performance profiling, memory optimization, and parallel computing. Proficient in C++ especially in writing production-quality, object-oriented code. Experience in semiconductors (electrical properties, manufacturing, and metrology) is a plus. Ability and willingness to travel worldwide to support projects at customer sites is a plus.
