Brown & Brown is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Executive to join our growing team in Denver, CO. The Commercial Lines Account Executive serves as the primary contact for an assigned book of business, providing expert guidance and service to commercial clients. This role is responsible for building and strengthening client relationships, ensuring retention and growth, and leading resources to address client needs including risk assessment, underwriting, policy, accounting, and claims issues. The Account Executive exercises sound judgment in managing accounts, delegates effectively, and ensures all service tasks are completed to the highest standard. How You Will Contribute: Use discretionary judgement to negotiate commission/fee-based pricing of services, ensuring account profitability for the scope of service and costs associated with the client service agreement Lead the renewal process by obtaining, directly or indirectly, quotes and claims experience from various carriers Collaborate with Producers and Marketing to achieve agreed upon goals for new and renewal business marketing Assist Producers with any new business calls and implementation of new business for newly assigned accounts as a resource Manage complete renewal process on Select business tied to Middle Market accounts as directed by Producers Act as liaison between producer and client by obtaining exposure and operation updates, receiving renewal applications and ordering appropriate documents needed for renewal Handle a diverse range of insurance products in the Commercial Lines arena Submit complete and accurate renewal information to the incumbent carrier(s) Prepare Insurance Coverage Review documents Bind coverage with the carrier(s) in accordance with the clients instructions Responsible for the day-to-day account management of client accounts which includes, but not all-inclusive: Speak to customers regarding commercial coverages on their policies Renew commercial policies by providing ID cards, binders, policies and certificates Monitor and process quality control procedures on each commercial account Utilize Agency Management System by creating tasks and attachments for each commercial account Manage all aspects of assigned accounts Communicate with P&C Practice Leader on status of accounts Manage accounts receivable on designated book of business Process daily mail and perform daily administration of designated book of business Meet or exceed all self-audit requirements as outlined by corporate policy Master Brown & Brown agency management systems (BenefitPoint, ImageRight, AMS, etc.) Licenses & Certifications: Insurance designation Preferred) Skills & Experience to Be Successful: College degree (Preferred) 5 or more years of experience in the industry and licensed as a Producer of Property and Casualty in applicable state. Participates in continuing education to maintain the appropriate level of credentials. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality Able to demonstrate an expert level of knowledge with all assigned products, insurance coverages, services, policies, pricing, placement of coverage, regulations and benefits of each as well as the B&B philosophy regarding these products and services. Expertise in the insurance industry with a demonstrated ability to explain our capabilities relative to our competitors. Strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to connect with an audience and speak persuasively and succinctly. Demonstrates good listening skills to enhance understanding and probes effectively. Strong attention to detail. Strong time management skills and the ability to evaluate and prioritize multiple projects/tasks to maximize the number of internal and external clients that can be assisted while maintaining a high level of customer service. Demonstrates a sense of urgency. Works in a collaborative, team-oriented manner, fostering empowerment and ownership for service quality. Develops and maintains a working knowledge of B&B systems. Understands client profitability through an understanding of income, expenses and time utilized related to specific client needs. Good keyboard and PC skills using word processing and spreadsheet software, familiarity with various software applications and the ability to learn new software systems. This position may require routine or periodic travel which may require the teammate to drive their own vehicle or a rental vehicle. If required, acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are requirements of this position. #LI-DR1 Pay Range $85,000 - $90,000 Annual The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
