Position Summary The Catastrophe Risk Analyst role involves critical assessment and management of the companys exposure to natural and man-made catastrophes. The Catastrophe Risk Analyst analyzes data, models risk and provides strategic recommendations to enhance risk management strategies. What will your job entail? Responsibilities Conduct detailed analysis of catastrophe risks, including earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, and other natural disasters. Utilize catastrophe modeling software to assess potential losses and develop risk scenarios. Collaborate with underwriters, actuaries, and other stakeholders to evaluate risk exposure and pricing strategies. Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes related to catastrophe risk management. Prepare reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting risk exposure and mitigation strategies. Develop and maintain catastrophe risk models, ensuring accuracy and reliability. Participate in cross-functional teams to enhance risk assessment processes and improve risk management practices. Qualifications Work Experience and Education Bachelors degree in Risk Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Actuarial Science, Economics, or related quantitative field with 2 years of related experience; or equivalent work experience. Certified Catastrophe Risk Analyst (CSCR) or Certified Catastrophe Risk Management Professional (CCRMP) is preferred. Technical Skills Quantitative Analysis Risk Assessment Project Management Insurance Knowledge Experience with AIR/RMS is preferred Behavioral Skills Effective Communication Team-oriented mindset Attention to Detail Decision Making Problem-Solving Continuous Learning Ryan Specialty is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The target salary range for this position is $72,000.00 - $90,000.00 annually. The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands.
