Aborn Pet Hospital is growing! We just completed a full hospital renovation, with added exam rooms. We are currently looking to hire Part-Time Veterinary Assistants to join our team! Salary: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, certifications, licensure, and location. Schedule: Part-time, up to three 8-hour shifts per week. Must be willing to work on Saturday. Closed Sunday and Major Holidays. Location: 40951 Grimmer Blvd, Fremont, CA 94538 Who Are We: Aborn Pet Hospital is a long-standing general practice hospital with deep ties to the community, located in Fremont, California. Our busy, four doctor practice sees a variety of pets from cats and dogs to small mammals and birds. We aim to provide owners with sound, honest choices for their pets and to provide our patients with excellent and compassionate medical care. We strive to give our customers the best personalized service possible and to create a friendly, professional work environment for our excellent staff! Who You Are: 1 + year of veterinary clinical experience, as a veterinary assistant Knowledge of industry tools and equipment Experience with proper animal handling and restraint of cats and dogs Ability to perform nursing care in a veterinary hospital setting Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills Collect laboratory samples for urinalysis, cytology, bloodwork, fecal analysis Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments per doctor orders Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures Ensure a clean, safe and organized work environment What Makes Us Different Referral program join our team, bring your friends, and get paid!
