Job Description Summary A Dispatchers main objectives are facilitating the protection of the company, its assets, and more importantly, the health and safety of our employees and that of the customers and public that we serve. The Safety Compliance Coordinator will be required to be knowledgeable in transportation safety, stay up to date on all industry rules and regulations, very detail-orientated, and committed to high safety standards. Critical Job Functions: Maintain and ensure compliance of all standardized processes for driver background checks, pre-employment medical screening, and DOT physicals. Oversee compliance of driver qualification to include conducting periodic audits of the driver qualification files, completing annual MVR and safety performance reviews, and updating driver medical certifications and licenses when expired. Monitor CSA Basic Scores and company safety performance trends, giving recommendations and updates to leadership as needed. Schedule random drug testing for CDL drivers, ensuring our pool stays current. Manage OSHA compliance and reporting process. Review and monitor hours of service records for accuracy and compliance. Other duties as needed. Receives very general guidance with respect to overall objectives; work is usually quite independent of others; operates within division or department policy guidelines using independent judgment in achieving assigned objectives. Job Requirements Ability to perform each essential job duty listed above satisfactorily. Knowledge of FMCSA and DOT rules and regulations, HOS rules and exposure to electronic logs. Understanding of transportation equipment/terminology. Excellent organizational skills and proficiency in personal computer tasks. Superior professional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to independently organize and schedule workday, prioritizing tasks based on company needs, in a fast-paced environment. Extremely detail-oriented, with the ability to analyze and interpret data, and create reports using the data. Identify and manage crisis situations autonomously. Experience in transportation safety is Highly Preferred. Relevant Safety Experience: 1 year (Required). Transportation safety: 1 year (Preferred). The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Compensation: The estimated compensation for this role is $65,000 per year.
