Banking Americas Mizuhos Banking Division provides corporate and investment banking coverage, sponsor coverage, advisory and solutions and loan capital markets/syndicate to Mizuhos client base of leading international corporations, financial institutions and public sector entities in the US and Canada. Banking supports client business activities throughout the region with an extensive range of capital markets and lending capabilities and an integrated team of coverage, advisory and product bankers responsible for client relationship management and strategic transaction development to execute banking and securities mandates and originate idea generation for potential acquisitions, divestitures and investment opportunities. Job Overview: We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Investment Grade and Asset Backed Debt Syndicate team. In this role, you will be an integral part of the team, assisting in the distribution and execution of investment grade and asset backed securities offerings to institutional investors. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to work on an industry leading team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and gain valuable experience in investment banking and capital markets. Responsibilities: Assist in the origination of investment grade and asset backed mandates, by providing relevant market data and commentary. Gain broad understanding of the investment grade, asset backed, and corporate banking business. Support deal executions by preparing internal marketing materials, liaising with the salesforce, and managing the orderbook building process through our bookbuilding application. Manage the operations process, which includes coordinating with our internal operations team, settlements manager, sales and trading personnel, compliance, market risk and treasury. Analyze issuance data, macroeconomic developments and other market trends to prepare insightful daily, weekly and quarterly materials for clients as well as senior level management. Maintain internal deal and market databases that are used by each respective product group. Monitor risk positions and ensure compliance. Work alongside our IT project management team to develop and manage information technology solutions regarding data maintenance and desk productivity. Develop strong working relationships with peers and senior managers in Capital Markets and other divisions of the firm in the U.S. and cross-border. Coordinate with internal teams, including capital markets, legal, and compliance, to ensure smooth deal execution and adherence to regulatory guidelines. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree: Preferably in Finance, Economics, or a related field. One year of relevant experience preferred, but not required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and succinctly. Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate on cross-functional projects. Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Intellectual curiosity for markets and the products, with a passion for learning. The expected base salary ranges from $110K - $130k. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
