Asset Management at Ventas oversees performance and strategy across a diverse real estate portfolio spanning senior living, medical office and research assets. The team blends rigorous analytics, disciplined execution and deep operator and tenant engagement to drive NOI, enhance asset value and support long-term portfolio health. Asset Management partners closely with Investments, FP&A, Development, Legal, Finance and other functions to ensure alignment on priorities and to execute initiatives that strengthen both individual assets and the broader platform. About the Role The Senior Financial Analyst provides advanced analytical support and plays a critical role in developing the financial and operational insights that guide portfolio management. This role builds and maintains financial models, interprets financial and operating data submitted by operators or tenants, and analyzes KPIs and market dynamics to understand performance drivers. The Senior Analyst partners closely with asset managers to ensure decisions are grounded in accurate, timely, and strategic analysis. In addition, this role supports core portfolio processes including reforecasting, strategic evaluations, capital planning, transition support, and recurring performance reviews. The Senior Analyst prepares polished, executive-ready materials for leadership discussions, board updates, and cross-functional forums. This role is well suited for someone who can connect analytical detail to broader business context and communicate insights with clarity and precision. Key responsibilities include: Build and maintain financial models and reporting tools that support portfolio performance Analyze financial statements, operating data, KPIs, and market information to identify performance drivers and trends Prepare executive-ready materials for leadership discussions, portfolio reviews, earnings themes, and capital committee updates Support scenario modeling, reforecasting, and capital planning processes Contribute to transitions, onboarding, and strategic evaluations across the portfolio Partner with Investments, FP&A, Legal, Finance, and Development on cross-functional initiatives Execute recurring and ad hoc analytical projects that support portfolio strategy Qualifications Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, Accounting, Mathematics or related field 3+ years of financial analysis experience; real estate, FP&A or asset management experience preferred Advanced Excel skills with strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities Ability to synthesize complex information and communicate insights clearly to varied audiences Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams Must be located in Chicago, IL or New York, NY surrounding area or willing to relocate for the duration of employment Willingness to adapt and thrive in a blended work environment with 3-days in office, seamlessly transitioning between remote work and in-office operations Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without need for employer sponsorship now or in the future The estimated base salary range for this position is $90,000 -$125,000 per year. This range reflects a good-faith estimate of the base salary Ventas reasonably expects to pay at the time of posting. Actual base pay will be determined based on work location, skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and business needs.
