Position Summary... What you'll do... Role summary: The Manager, Learning and Development, leads the design, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive training programs that align with business objectives and enhance workforce capabilities. This role involves collaborating with key stakeholders to identify learning needs, developing effective content, and ensuring program effectiveness through performance analysis. The manager fosters continuous improvement by promoting best practices and supporting associate development through coaching and mentoring. Upholding company policies and ethical standards, this position drives operational excellence and contributes to a culture of accountability, adaptability, and sustained organizational growth. About the team: The Walmart Academy Home Office Strategy and Content Team develops and implements learning strategies that drive measurable behavior change aligned with business priorities. They set standards for creating behavior-based, instructionally sound, and accessible content at scale. This team manages content development from ideation to delivery, collaborating closely with business partners and internal teams. Their efforts ensure consistent, high-quality learning experiences that support organizational goals and enhance performance across the company. The teams focus on stakeholder engagement and performance management fosters effective learning solutions that advance Walmarts mission and operational success. What you'll do: Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to support learning and development initiatives aligned with business needs. Oversee the design, development, and delivery of complex training programs and performance support tools. Manage program effectiveness by analyzing trainee performance and addressing improvement opportunities. Provide supervision, coaching, and development opportunities for associates to enhance team capabilities. Ensure compliance with company policies and uphold standards of ethics and integrity in all learning activities. Implement training governance and standardize processes to maintain operational continuity. Foster continuous learning by promoting adaptability and innovation in learning solutions. What you'll bring: Proven experience in developing and executing learning and development strategies aligned with business goals. Strong stakeholder management skills to build and maintain effective partnerships across the organization. Expertise in instructional design and content development for multiple different learning environments. Ability to measure program effectiveness through data analysis and performance management. Demonstrated leadership in supervising, mentoring, and developing associates to enhance team capabilities. Commitment to upholding ethical standards and compliance within learning initiatives. Adaptability to evolving business needs and continuous improvement mindset. The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
