Job Title: Research Assistant Department: Basic Pharmaceutical Sciences Supervisor: Amarylis Wanschel Starting Rate of Pay: $8.00/hr Length of Time: Eligible for rehire on a semester basis. Job Description: The applicant is responsible for performing general care and maintenance of laboratory, cell culture room, equipment and facilities and supporting research efforts. The applicant will have the opportunity to learn cell culture techniques and apply molecular biology assays regularly in the lab. The applicant will participate in preparing samples to be processed at Wake Forest University for Lipidomic, Metabolomic, and Proteomic analysis. Job Location/ Hours Required: The candidate will perform all job duties in Cogndon Hall. Hours may vary depending on the job requirements. This position requires a minimum of 8 hours per week. Some weekend work may be required. Responsibilities: Complete all necessary training modules for working with laboratory cell culture.
