Position Overview: Ameresco has an opportunity for an Energy & Sustainability Intern to join Amerescos Central Region Project Development Team on a hybrid schedule, based in Oak Brook, Illinois. This is a paid internship (20- 35 hours per week) scheduled for June - August. Responsibilities: Collaborate with Engineers to provide project support for development, design, construction, and post-construction activities. Provide assistance with energy assessments including baseline profiles, end-use, and retrofit analysis. Analyze utility bill data and sub-meter data for buildings or for building systems. Assist with the assessment of project requirements to evaluate opportunities for energy efficiency. Analyze and document building, mechanical, electrical, controls, and plumbing systems. Investigate, analyze, and document energy conservation and water cost reduction measures. Prepare technical content, proposals, analysis, feasibility reports and provide critical peer review. Foster effective and positive business relationships with all parties throughout project phases. Perform other duties as required. Minimum Qualifications: Currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelors degree in science or engineering with an interest in Energy and/or Sustainability. Additional Qualifications: Proven ability to gather, validate, and analyze quantitative data and information. Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Excel. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills required. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities. The anticipated hourly range for this role is $23.00$30.50 per hour (presented in good faith). In addition to base pay, employees receive a comprehensive benefits package, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off, and may be eligible for performance incentives, bonuses, commissions, or equity, depending on the role. Actual pay will depend on factors such as internal equity, skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. This range supports our commitment to pay transparency and compliance with applicable laws. Compensation may vary by work location, including remote arrangements.
