About the Position: TCBH is hiring for a Mental Health Technician that would provide non-professional direct care for consumers of behavioral health treatment in an inpatient setting. This includes participation in de-escalation activities and assuring that consumers are kept safe. This position acts as a role model for consumers, demonstrating effective problem solving and decision-making skills. Job Type/Salary: Open/Close dates: 9/23/2025-until filled Full-time Hourly payrate: (Level III)-$17.59; (Level II)- $16.28; (Level I)-$15.10 Shift differentials when applicable Primary hours: 3:00pm-11:00pm FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Primary Work Location/Department: TCBH Admissions Department Vacancies: 1 Minimum Qualifications and Experience: MHT III Two years of experience in providing behavioral health patient care MHT II One year of experience in providing behavioral health patient care MHT I No experience required Special Requirements: Applicant must be able to pass an OSBI background check. Applicant must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and as such have a valid drivers license. Upon a conditional offer of employment, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 50 pounds and able to push and pull a maximum force of 25 pounds. TCBH serves individuals eighteen years of age or older who present in a mental health crisis with or without substance abuse and are determined medically stable. We will transition soon into our new 140,000 square foot, 106-bed hospital, slated for completion in 2026. This state of the art facility, the Oklahoma Psychiatric Care Center, will feature a 24-hour crisis response Urgent Recovery Center and will be situated in the OSU Academic Medical District, near the new VA Hospital and the OSU Medical Center in downtown Tulsa.
