Ferguson is currently seeking an individual to fill an immediate need for a Fabrication Manager in our Fulton, MS location. This position will coordinate with welders and fabricators on projects, supervising the progress of the welding and fabrication operations, and ensuring the safety of all workers. Join our team! Responsibilities: Setting the schedule and keeping the shop moving. Associates need to know what is expected of them to get accomplished every day. Ensure that all tools and equipment are in good working condition and meet calibration specifications. Keep records and maintain orderly environment to align with regulatory requirements, good manufacturing practices, and standard operating procedures. Work from drawings and written instructions to create replacement and new parts in making repairs to metal parts as well as for experimental apparatus or prototype equipment. Responsible for supervising and leading the activities of fabrication shop personnel. Utilize proprietary software to list, schedule, and quote fabrication projects. Maintain scheduling and progress visibility between shops, business groups and with customers. Provide both technical leadership and assist in training less expert fabricators. Working in a team setting with Project Manager(s), Sales Representatives, Quality Inspector(s), Fabricators, Procurement and other stakeholders to meet customer expectations on delivery of finished fabricated materials. This is an ISO 9001 fabrication shop; maintaining good standing with certifications and internal company audits is imperative. Departmental ownership of all company safety standards and goals, regularly scheduled 5S+1 video inspections and improvements. Qualifications: 3 years of direct supervisory/management experience as a job site foreman, fab shop supervisor, or project manager 2 years experience in the mechanical contracting or process piping industry strongly preferred. Familiarity with welding, fabrication, pipefitting, and schedule planning. Knowledge of plastic fusion (PP-R, HDPE) a plus, but not required. Hands on experience and training using well-documented QA/QC procedures, implementation of best practices, and non-conformance report documentation. Ability to read prints and illustrate detailed knowledge of pipe fitting procedures and skills Must have good problem-solving abilities Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with individual contributors, teams, peers, and leadership.
