Full Job Description

Primary Location: 2200 W. University Drive, McKinney, Texas, 75071 We are searching for candidates that meet the required qualifications and experience and are able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities. Job Summary: Support the enrollment efforts of the college by providing admissions information to prospective students, creating communication materials, and representing the College at onsite locations such as high schools. Required Qualifications: Essential Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate college day/night programs in area high schools. Coordinate College 101 and Collin College presentations for high school and middle school populations. Prepare and disseminate electronic newsletter to high school counselors and administrators. Coordinate group tours at all sites throughout the district. Coordinate and provide individual tours, as requested or scheduled at assigned campus(es). Coordinate college information booths/tables at community events, such as the Plano Balloon Festival. Establish working relationships with various personnel at local institutions and organizations to provide information on the college and promote relevant programs. Travel within the service area to promote college programs or to attend seminars, workshops, and meetings. Prepare reports and evaluations of implemented programs to include tracking and follow-up with prospective students. Process admissions applications for credit students, including accurately determining and documenting residency, TSI status, and prerequisite levels. Issue ad valorem, employee and contract training waivers and senior scholarships. May code and proof applications to ensure compliance with state guidelines. Review residency documentation to accurately determine students' eligibility for in-state tuition according to state guidelines and process accordingly. Accurately document master record changes. May make residency code changes. Establish and maintain strong lines of communication between middle/high school teachers and counselors and college advisors, offering regular opportunities for dialog on college readiness requirements. Supplemental Functions Perform other duties as assigned. Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with college policies, procedures and Core Values. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of College programs, residency requirements, TSI status, and prerequisite levels Good oral and written communication skills Good presentation skills Ability to coordinate programs Ability to communicate effectively with high school and middle school populations Ability to write newsletters Ability to coordinate group and individual tours Ability to establish working relationships with personnel at local institutions Ability to promote College programs Ability to travel within the service area Ability to prepare reports Ability to process applications Ability to accurately determine students' eligibility for in-state tuition Ability to read and interpret state guidelines Physical Demands, Working Conditions and Physical Effort Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly having to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for the Sedentary Work category and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated Light Work. Positions in this class typically include talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions, plus stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching. Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Office environment. Occasional physical effort required. Requirements Associate degree from an accredited institution and two (2) years of related experience required.
