Senior Product Manager, Lodging Connectivity Introduction to the team: The Lodging Connectivity team connects a broad range of global hotel and vacation rental inventory to Expedia Group through partnerships with software companies and advanced API technology. We are a passionate group of product managers who are customer and partnerfocused, and dedicated to leading the hospitality industry in API connectivity innovation. We work closely with connectivity providers, channel managers, and suppliers to ensure our technology is robust, scalable, and easy for our software partners to adopt. We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead the strategy and execution of Lodging Connectivitys developer and testing tools platform, with a strong emphasis on AIpowered experiences. This role focuses on innovating and scaling the tooling that partners and developers use to build, test, and maintain highquality integrations with Expedia Group spanning APIs, SDKs, sandbox and certification environments. You will deeply understand the endtoend developer journey and use AI to make it faster, safer, and more intuitive for partners to integrate and iterate. You will work across product, engineering, data science, operations, and marketing teams as well as supply partners to ensure our tools not only meet market and developer needs, but consistently exceed themreinforcing Expedia Groups leadership in connected lodging supply. In this Role, You Will: Define and own the product vision and strategy for Lodging Connectivitys developer and testing tools (portals, SDKs, sandboxes, certification frameworks, test harnesses, observability) to accelerate highquality partner integrations and connectivity outcomes. Shape an AIpowered developer experience, identifying where generative AI and machine learning (e.g., code assistants, test generation, anomaly detection, intelligent documentation) can significantly improve developer productivity, integration quality, and timetovalue. Craft endtoend developer experiences inspired by leading API and tooling platforms (e.g., clear onboarding journeys, quickstarts, SDKs, MCP, AI skills) so developers can selfserve, test confidently, and ship integrations with speed, quality, and trust. Represent the voice of the developer and connectivity partner through all stages of the product lifecycle, from discovery and design to launch and iteration Own product requirements and portfolio tradeoffs, translating business and partner use cases into clear, testable specifications and sequencing work across multiple engineering teams and tool surfaces. Drive innovative product ideation by staying ahead of trends in developer tooling, testing, and AI Lead backlog prioritization and execution using defensible frameworks (e.g., impact/effort, ROI, risk, developer satisfaction), writing clear user stories and acceptance criteria, and ensuring shipped tools are robust, secure, observable, and easy to adopt. Use data and experimentation to guide decisions, defining and monitoring KPIs/OKRs such as developer onboarding time, integration success rate, test coverage and automation levels, incident rates, partner satisfaction, and API reliability. Collaborate with crossfunctional stakeholders (engineering, program management, support, account management, marketing, legal, compliance, data science) to align on strategy, manage dependencies, and deliver integrated solutions for partners. Communicate clearly and often, tailoring messages to technical and nontechnical audienceswhether youre reviewing payload designs and test strategies with engineers, discussing AI risk and governance with legal, or presenting tradeoffs to senior leaders. Minimum qualifications: Product management experience: Typically 6+ years in product management or a closely related role, with meaningful time operating at Senior PM level or equivalent, driving strategy and execution for complex technical products. Developer tools and testing experience: Proven experience owning or working very closely with developer platforms and testing tools such as developer portals, SDKs, certification testing or sandbox environments. AI product experience: Handson experience building or integrating AI/MLpowered capabilities (e.g., LLMbased assistants, AIgenerated documentation or tests, anomaly detection) into developer or platform products, with an understanding of both opportunities and risks. API and platform fluency: Comfortable collaborating deeply with engineers; able to read and reason about API designs and payloads, understand common integration patterns, and debate tradeoffs across reliability, performance, and usability. Customer and partner centricity: Proven ability to represent external developers and partners in product discovery, prioritization, and designbalancing their needs with platform constraints and longterm strategy. Datadriven decision making: Experience using data, experimentation, and qualitative insights to prioritize work, measure impact, and iterate on features; confident working with product analytics, A/B tests, and operational metrics for APIs and tooling. Execution and collaboration: Strong track record of delivering outcomes in an agile environment, managing roadmaps across multiple teams, and collaborating effectively with engineering, program management, support, and commercial teams. Communication and influence: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical topics, build shared understanding, and influence stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization. Global and inclusive mindset: Comfortable working across multiple geographies and time zones, with a track record of fostering inclusive, collaborative working relationships. Preferred qualifications: Domain experience: Background in hospitality, travel, marketplaces, connectivity, or other supplydriven businesses; familiarity with lodging or vacation rental connectivity is a plus. Integration and partner experience: Experience translating partner use cases into technical requirements, reviewing API and event designs, and providing feedback based on missing or unclear business needs. AI and platform ecosystem awareness: Understanding of the broader AI and developer ecosystem (MCP, AI skills, SDKs, popular CI/CD and testing frameworks) and how to leverage it to build a modern, compelling developer platform. The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $173,000.00 to $242,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $277,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role. Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individuals knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
