Residential Driver Lake Okahumpka, FL Now Hiring Residential Drivers Sumter Recycling 3935 Rogers Industrial Park Rd, Okahumpka, FL 34762 Pay & Schedule Starting at $23.00/hour+ DOE 50-60 hours per week Overtime paid at time and a half Paid weekly Year-round, stable work Duties & Responsibilities Safely operate a residential collection vehicle on assigned routes. Service residential customers in a safe, efficient, and courteous manner. Complete daily route assignments and follow dispatcher instructions. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including checking fluids, tires, and safety equipment. Operate hydraulic controls to safely collect and transport residential waste. Maintain a strong focus on safety while working around traffic, pedestrians, and residential neighborhoods. Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Typical Schedule Monday through Friday Occasional Saturdays as needed 50-60 hour work week Early morning start times Working Conditions & Physical Requirements Physically demanding position requiring frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 pounds or more. Work performed outdoors in varying weather conditions. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, noise, dust, and other environmental conditions common to the waste industry. Must be able to safely enter and exit the vehicle multiple times throughout the day. Minimum Requirements Valid Class A or Class B CDL with Air Brake Endorsement. Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience. Waste industry experience preferred but not required. Ability to complete vehicle inspections and identify basic mechanical concerns. Strong safety record and customer service skills.
