Job Posting: Part-Time Dietary Aide Location: Orchard Post Acute Fresno, CA Starting Rate: $16.58/hour Orchard Post Acute, a skilled nursing facility in Fresno, CA, is seeking a Part-Time Dietary Aide to join our team. If you're dependable, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a compassionate care environment, we want to hear from you! General Purpose: The Dietary Aide supports the dietary department by assisting with food preparation, meal service, sanitation, and cleanliness of the kitchen area. This position reports directly to the Cook and Dietary Supervisor and plays a key role in ensuring residents receive safe, nutritious, and well-prepared meals. Key Responsibilities: Set up and deliver meal trays to residents Strip and clean returned trays and operate the dishwashing machine Record chlorine concentration and water temperature at the beginning of the shift Observe dishwashing cycles for proper sanitation levels Prepare and serve snacks and nourishments as needed Sweep, mop, and sanitize kitchen floors and surfaces Carry out trash and store groceries in a clean and orderly manner Maintain cleanliness of workstations and refrigerators Follow directions from Cook and Dietary Supervisor Assist in training and orientation of new dietary staff Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required Must have or obtain a valid Food Handlers Certificate Ability to read and follow written recipes and instructions Good communication skills and ability to work harmoniously with all departments Basic math skills for recipe measurements and portion control Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for long periods Work Environment: Moderate noise level, fast-paced kitchen setting Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and bending Occasional stooping, kneeling, or crawling Join a team that values quality care, teamwork, and employee appreciation.
