Senior Executive Coordinator Executive Support Exempt, Regular, Full-Time, Pay Grade 2.1 Location: Adelphi, MD University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) seeks a Senior Executive Coordinator in the Office of the President. This dynamic, fast-paced role is ideal for someone proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable. Reporting to the Director of Executive Operations and Advisor to the President, the Senior Executive Coordinator will manage projects, execute complex assignments, and perform executive-level tasks requiring analysis of systems, policies, procedures, and workflow. Responsibilities include drafting and refining correspondence, reports, and emails; coordinating meetings, conference calls, travel, and events; and maintaining records. The Senior Executive Coordinator serves as a strategic partner with the Director/Advisor to ensure systems operate efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate leads through collaboration and communicates clearly and thoughtfully. Trusted with sensitive information, they operate with discretion and integrity. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Scheduling and Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive calendar management to support strategic priorities and initiatives; serve as a key point of contact for the Director/Advisor, handling and screening calls and inquiries to ensure appropriate routing and coordination. Event and Project Management: Coordinate organizational-wide events, meetings, and retreats; attend meetings and take notes as requested, ensuring follow-up items are handled and/or communicated to the appropriate parties. Writing and Communication: Draft and format letters and emails for general and routine correspondence, including potentially confidential information, for both internal and external audiences. Relationship Management: Schedule and organize staff meetings for the Office; support internal communications; serve as backup timekeeper; liaison with Human Resources, IT, and Facilities; work collaboratively in a team environment. Other job-related duties as assigned. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years progressively responsible executive level experience, with six years supporting a senior level executive; experience managing and coordinating complex executive calendar with the ability to operate in fast-paced environment with complex demands for information. Must have excellent calendar management skills and experience managing an extremely active calendar; excellent writing skills, including writing for a number of audiences in a variety of formats, including meeting minutes and strategic documents. Must be highly proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Google mail, web search tools with the ability to learn new technologies and software as needed. Tuition Remission: Immediate availability for Regular Exempt Staff. Spouses and dependent children are eligible for undergraduate tuition remission after two years of service.
