Job Description Position Overview As a Senior HR Generalist at Invenergy, you will support a multi-state population of 1,000+ employees in all areas of Human Resources such as employee relations, policy development and application, performance management, employment law compliance, and department development. This is an on-site position at Invenergy's downtown Chicago office. Responsibilities Conduct investigations on employee, customer and vendor complaints, including, but not limited to, harassment, discrimination and violation of company policies. Liaison between management and employees by handling questions and interpreting and administering policies. Assist with the development and administration of programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company. Develop and implement human resource policies and procedures, including maintaining employee handbooks. Provide recommendations to policy or procedure changes accordingly. Maintain compliance with local, state and federal employment law keeping the HR team apprised of any changes. Analyze and evaluate the impact of proposed legislation and rule changes; propose policy/procedural changes as necessary. Assist and counsel managers on human resources and employment issues. Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in an HR Generalist or similar position Experience leading complex investigations Strong working knowledge of multi-state and federal employment laws and practices Excellent communication, interpersonal and coaching skills Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality Proficiency using HRIS systems and Microsoft suite Ability to travel up to 15% Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future. Preferred Qualifications Workday experience Experience in a manufacturing, safety sensitive, and/or multi-state, multi-location environment Base Pay 95,000.00 - 118,000.00 USD Annual Bonus: 20 - 25% The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. In addition to base pay, the total annual compensation package may also include eligibility to participate in our bonus program(s) which are designed to reward individual and company performance.
