Position Overview We are seeking a motivated Radiologic Technologist Student to join our Radiology team. This role offers hands-on experience in a dynamic hospital setting, working alongside skilled professionals while completing your clinical training. Essential Functions Practice within the scope of state licensure. Maintain ARRT or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions. Ensure proper patient identification, verify orders, and prepare patients for exams. Perform exams according to department protocols; review images for quality and accuracy. Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe work environment. Complete studies within acceptable time limits without compromising patient care or quality. Provide patient education, ensure comfort, and address concerns. Practice appropriate infection control and sterile techniques. Operate imaging equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images. Keep accurate records of patient information, procedures, and any adverse reactions. Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and reporting equipment failures. Skills Strong knowledge of anatomy and image evaluation. Proficient in equipment operation and contrast protocols. Ability to respond effectively in emergencies. Capable of working independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills. Familiarity with electronic imaging systems. Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain a clean, safe environment. Minimum Qualifications Currently enrolled in a JRCERT or AMA-approved school of radiologic technology with documented completion of clinical and didactic training as required by state regulations. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
