The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidates knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program. Job Description As a Software Engineer, part of the Cox Automotive family, you apply secure software engineering principles to the design, development, testing, maintenance, and evaluation of software and cloud infrastructure. This role collaborates closely with teammates to understand business requirements, contribute to architectural discussions, and deliver scalable, resilient, and secure systems. It also incorporates the responsible use of AI-assisted development tools to streamline coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation activities across the SDLC. The position emphasizes strong software craftsmanship, continuous improvement, and effective collaboration within the Digital contracting workstream. Learning and growing every day in a supportive, fast-paced environment. What Were Looking For: Must-Haves: Bachelors degree in a related discipline. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as 4 years experience in a related field Requires strong knowledge of AWS Excellent presentation skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals and object-oriented programming. Requires strong knowledge of one modern programming language (python, JavaScript, etc.) Curiosity and eagerness to learn new tools, frameworks, and technologies. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization Accelerate development of high quality products and features by leveraging AI Nice-to-Haves: Exposure to cloud platforms (especially AWS) and CI/CD pipelines. Interest in AI/ML and how it can enhance software development. Experience with Git and agile development practices. Understanding of APIs, web services, or microservices.
