Bachelor's Snow Removal Operators are integral to the success and operation of the mountain. Snow Removal Operators clear parking lots and roadways at night, often in variable conditions, to create a safe and usable space for guests and employees. Operators use heavy equipment and must be able to work and communicate effectively over distances with each other and with other departments to ensure the overall maintenance and accessibility of the mountain. Successful applicants are self-driven and used to working hard in adverse weather. Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities Clear parking lots and roadways of snow. Clear snow from maintenance areas. Clean ice and snow from equipment and complete equipment inspections each shift. Chain building and repair for equipment. Secondary Function Assist the vehicle mechanics in providing service and repairing plow equipment as needed. Hauling/Moving of snow for daytime operations. Clear snow off some roofs with equipment. Fill potholes in lots and roads as needed. Open drains in predetermined locations around the resort. Interpersonal Contacts Grooming operators, Parking attendants, Vehicle mechanics, Lift Maintenance mechanics, Lift Services operators, and early arriving guests in parking areas. Specific Job Skills License/Certifications: Current and Valid Drivers License, Technical: Able to operate, learn new skills, and teach heavy equipment operations safely and efficiently. Physical Capabilities: Able to work at night in variable weather conditions. Additional: Safety as a priority, and clear communication between other staff and departments. CDL is a plus. Education/Related Experience Minimum education required: High School or Equivalent Minimum time in related position: 2 Years/seasons Current Hiring Rate: $22.25/hr Minimum Age Requirement: 18+ Come Work Where You Play!
