Job Description: POSITION SUMMARY: This role is responsible for operating various types of machinery in the retreading process. It requires use of machinery, computer documentation, inspection of materials, handling of tires, moving of product throughout Production Center, and preparing for shipment. It also requires a heightened awareness and knowledge of quality and safety standards to ensure the retread meets all required criteria; must perform work safely and conscientiously. This position offers the opportunity for cross-training in various steps of the production process. Entry-level opportunities available. Pay: $21/hr + Quarterly bonus pay! Must be 18 years or older. Any kind of trade experience is a plus Day Shift: Monday-Friday 5:00am-1:30pm Swing Shift: Monday-Friday 1:30pm-10:00pm PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform visual inspection duties and mark or rework as needed Operate tire building machines (ring-tread, truck) Envelop and rim tires Buff tires Load and unload pre-cure chambers MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: At least 18 years old Frequent lifting of up to 70 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 100 pounds Frequent squatting, bending, twisting reaching and continuous standing and walking Good computer, math and measurement skills (including reading a tape measure) Ability to pass background check and drug screen Prior experience in manufacturing, production, and welding is a plus BENEFITS: FREE medical insurance option for employees Tuition assistance Retirement Plan - 100% paid for by the Company Paid time off / Paid holidays Les Schwab Tire Centers© is an equal opportunity employer.
