Full Job Description

Department: Location: Health Sciences Center Time Type: Full time Worker Type: Regular Job Req ID: R107541 Minimum Requirements: Associate's Degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Grade 3 (Hourly) Position Description: The Research Assistant III in the Brown Cancer Center will be involved in experimental research regarding immune cell regulation during tumor progression and metastases. This will require standard laboratory bench-work practices, culturing of tumor cells, and work with animal tumor models. Applicants should have experience with basic cellular biology techniques and mouse colony maintenance including genotyping using PCR. Beyond experimental duties, this individual will be involved in laboratory maintenance and organization. Essential Duties: Perform laboratory studies on mouse and human tissue samples including cell culture, single cell preparation, and Flow cytometry. Assist with the studies on gene transcription regulation using qRT-PCR and Western blotting. Perform mouse colony management duties including breeding and genotyping. Laboratory management. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in a related field of biological science. Prior experience in animal cancer models, including animal handling and manipulation for therapy administration. Prior experience in investigating treatment effects in cell culture and tumor growth. Target Compensation Maximum: $28.55 Target Compensation Minimum: $19.03 Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
