VCA Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic is looking to add Outpatient Assistants to our growing General Practice team! At VCA Loomis Basin, Outpatient Assistants play a vital role in supporting our primary care veterinarians and ensuring a smooth process for our clients and patients. The primary responsibilities including assisting the veterinarian in the room and facilitating the flow of the appointment from check-in to check-out. Veterinary experience is a must. The ideal candidate will be reliable, motivated, and a true team player. Attention to detail is vital, as this can make or break a clients experience with us. It is important that our team members have fun while they work, so if you are slightly goofy, you will fit in well! VCA Loomis Basin is a 24/7 emergency, specialty, and general practice animal hospital located in Loomis, CA. We offer Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Specialty Surgery, and ICU among other general practice surgeries and appointments. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide professional and courteous service to our clients Assist with rooming clients and patients Enter visit orders and notes Obtain patient vitals Facilitate veterinarian needs and assist in administering treatments Assist with filling medications Obtain and submit lab samples Qualifications: At least two years in the veterinary field or related experience Good verbal and written communication skills Basic typing and computer skills Must be available for weekend, holiday and/or evening rotations Education: High school diploma or equivalent Why Join VCA?
