Job Description Purpose of the role To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. Accountabilities Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance. Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives. Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing. Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organizations technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth. Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions. Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability. Identify ways to mitigate risk and developing new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda. Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done. Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy. Youll partner closely with business and technology leaders, work across a modern full-stack, and deliver resilient, high-performance solutions in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment where your contributions directly influence engineering standards and platform evolution. To be successful as a Full Stack Developer, you should have experience with: Java engineering skills building efficient, resilient, high-throughput systems using object-oriented design principles Front-end development using Angular (2+) or React, translating business workflows into intuitive, high-performance UI components Designing and delivering RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL services using Spring Boot SQL and database development across Oracle and NoSQL platforms (e.g. MongoDB) Modern engineering practices including Git, GitLab CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing Some other highly valued skills may include: Microservices and cloud-native architectures using Kubernetes in Azure and/or AWS Distributed messaging and caching technologies such as Solace, Kafka, Ignite, or GridGain Containerized development using Docker Experience working in investment banking environments, particularly front-office or real-time trading systems You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in this role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills. This role is located in Whippany, New Jersey. Minimum Salary: $120,000 Maximum Salary: $175,000 The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
