Job Summary: The Multimedia Specialist serves as a key visual storyteller for Regis University, advancing the institutions mission and strategic priorities by capturing and producing compelling photo and video content that reflects the people, programs and experiences that define the Regis community. The Multimedia Specialist must be responsive to time-sensitive opportunities, including events outside standard business hours, ensuring that key moments are captured with professionalism and creativity. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Photography, Videography, and Content Creation Capture high-quality images and videos that authentically represent university events, academic activities, campus life, and promotional initiatives. Develop and edit engaging visual content for multiple platforms, including social media reels, websites, marketing campaigns, and print publications. Apply advanced post-production skills editing, color correction, sound design, and metadata tagging to ensure visual consistency and adherence to brand standards. Monitor and integrate emerging trends, technologies, and storytelling techniques to keep Regis content fresh, relevant, and competitive. Contribute original concepts and creative approaches that enhance storytelling and audience engagement. Project and Equipment Management Plan, schedule, and coordinate multimedia projects from concept through delivery, ensuring deadlines are met and stakeholders are informed. Maintain an organized production schedule using project management tools (e.g. Wrike) and proactively prepare for upcoming assignments. Collaborate with other content creators to coordinate coverage and ensure seamless execution across projects and events. Maintain and manage multimedia equipment, including cameras, lighting, and audio gear, ensuring readiness and proper functionality. Organize and maintain digital assets for marketing and archival use, ensuring accessibility and consistency. Collaboration, Relationship Building, and Professionalism Partner with marketing, communications, and other internal and external stakeholders including faculty, staff, students, and vendors to execute multimedia projects that align with institutional priorities. Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, discretion, and interpersonal communication when working with diverse audiences. Engage confidently and professionally with subjects to capture natural, authentic and compelling imagery. Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling to accommodate time-sensitive assignments, key events, and high-profile initiatives that occur outside standard business hours. Foster positive working relationships to support a collaborative, creative, and solution-focused environment. Strategic Planning and Brand Advancement Contribute to the development of multimedia strategies that strengthen Regis Universitys brand identity, visibility, and alignment with the Strategic Plan. Provide creative direction and recommendations to ensure visual content supports recruitment, retention, alumni engagement, and fundraising goals. Identify opportunities to expand multimedia impact through new formats, storytelling approaches, and distribution channels. Assess content performance and recommend improvements based on analytics, audience engagement, and industry best practices. Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening hours. In addition, some local, regional, and/or national travel is required. Required Qualifications: A bachelors degree in marketing, communications, digital media production, journalism, graphic design, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education is preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training, and directly related professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Minimum one year of professional experience in marketing, communications, content creation, or a creative production role. Demonstrated proficiency as both a photographer and videographer, preferably with experience in fast-paced or news-style environments. Proficiency with Adobe Premiere and Mac-based production software, with the ability to learn and integrate new tools as needed. Strong portfolio demonstrating creative range across platforms, including social media content and short-form video (e.g. reels). Ability to manage multiple projects from concept to completion, balancing quality with deadlines. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and event-based scheduling. Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and collaborate effectively within a team environment. Friendly, outgoing personality with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and other non-standard hours for key events and university priorities.
