POSITION SUMMARY: Liliput is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to support the Construction Division in overseeing financial operations and project-based cost tracking. This role is critical to maintaining budget integrity, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and delivering insights that drive strategic decisions across construction and fabrication projects. The Accounting Manager will collaborate closely with the Controller and project teams to manage job costing, financial analysis, and core accounting functions. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Project & Job Costing Partner with project managers and the VP of Construction to track and analyze job costs, including labor, materials, subcontractors, and overhead. Maintain accurate project budgets and provide real-time financial breakdowns. Identify cost variances and support corrective actions to maintain profitability. Accounting Operations Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Support month-end and year-end close processes. Assist with payroll processing and expense tracking. Financial Reporting & Analysis Prepare internal financial reports and dashboards for leadership. Deliver detailed cost and profitability analysis by project. Support the Controller in preparing financial statements and audit documentation. Process & System Support Help implement and maintain accounting systems and tools. Recommend process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a project-based or construction environment. Strong understanding of job costing and project accounting. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar). Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities. CPA or CMA certification is a plus, but not required.
