Working under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA will provide skilled therapy services that help residents improve mobility, strength, function, and independence while enhancing their overall quality of life. Key Responsibilities Provide physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist Implement individualized treatment plans according to physician orders and therapy goals Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the Physical Therapist Document treatment sessions, resident responses, and progress notes accurately and timely Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members to support positive resident outcomes Assist with discharge planning and caregiver education Participate in care conferences and team meetings as needed Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and facility regulations Support residents in achieving their highest level of function and independence Qualifications Education & Experience Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) and Casamba preferred Strong communication, clinical, and documentation skills Licenses & Certifications Current South Carolina Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in good standing Must maintain all required continuing education requirements Must remain in good standing with the State Board Apply Today Join the Reedy River Post Acute therapy team and help residents regain strength, mobility, and independence.
