Job Title LPN Flu Nurse - Temporary Location Akron Facility Akron General Medical Center Department Job Code F99928 Shift Variable Schedule 12:00pm-12:00am Job Summary Now Hiring: Temporary LPNs for Cleveland Clinics Flu Program Join Cleveland Clinics annual Flu Program and play a vital role in protecting the health and safety of our caregivers and patients. This temporary opportunity is perfect for LPNs who are committed to making a meaningful impact during flu season. We are currently hiring: LPNs at $28/hour Location Support: While all caregivers must be available to work at Main Campus, there are also opportunities to support flu clinics across a variety of regional locations, including: Akron General, Union Hospital and Mercy Hospital and Medina Hospital. Shift & Schedule Details: A minimum commitment of 2 shifts per week is required Main Campus hours: 6:30 a.m. 4:30 p.m. (8 or 10-hour shifts) Regional locations hours: 7:30 a.m. 4:00 p.m. (8-hour shifts) Partial shifts are not permitted A limited number of Saturday shifts may be offered (dates/hours TBD) Requirements: Must have Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Ohio. Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) prior to hire. Must have 2 years of recent clinical experience with IM injections. Orientation Details: All selected candidates must attend mandatory orientation: Location: Beachwood Administrative Campus Date: Friday, September 25, 2026 Time: 8:00 a.m. 12:00 p.m. Job Details Responsibilities: Performs clinical activities which include administering vaccinations. Coordinates and tracks compliance programs to meet standards of regulatory agencies for the health and safety of employees. Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Certifications: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Ohio. Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) required. Complexity of Work: Requires excellent interpersonal, organizational and project management skills. Substantial nursing and medical knowledge across relevant therapeutic areas. Must work effectively with all health care disciplines. Work Experience: Two years of recent clinical experience with IM injections required. Physical Requirements: Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Requires normal or corrected hearing and vision to normal range. Sedentary work exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: active or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and /or a negligible amount of force frequently (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. Personal Protective Equipment: Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
