This role plays a critical part in supporting resident well-being, infection prevention, and overall facility cleanliness. Essential Duties Clean and maintain public and common areas, including lobbies, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors Ensure resident rooms and bathrooms are cleaned and sanitized regularly Wipe down handrails to keep them free of dust and debris Remove dirt, dust, and food from walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, and dispensers Empty trash cans and replace liners as needed Sweep and mop floors throughout the facility Follow safety protocols, including the use of caution signage and proper chemical storage Operate cleaning equipment and use supplies according to manufacturer instructions Keep housekeeping carts, equipment, and storage areas clean, organized, and sanitary Report resident safety concerns immediately to the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing Notify the Director of Housekeeping when supplies need replenishment Demonstrate excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude Manage time effectively and complete tasks efficiently Work independently and as part of a team to meet facility standards Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is a plus Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines Strong attention to detail and cleanliness Good communication and interpersonal skills Dependable, organized, and team-oriented Apply Today Join Reedy River Post Acute and become part of a team that values your contributions, supports your growth, and appreciates the important role you play in creating a safe, comfortable, and welcoming home for our residents every day.
