Job Description SUMMARY: Performs various floor care maintenance functions in accordance with all University policies, procedures and guidelines; exemplifies and upholds the Facilities Department's mission, which is to create and maintain an outstanding learning environment through constant attention to our community's needs and thoughtful care of our beautiful campus. WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL EFFORT: QUALIFICATIONS: Highly thorough and dependable Proficient in English written and verbal communication skills Ability to work within tight timeframes and meet strict deadlines Strong verbal communication and listening skills Demonstrated ability to comply to safety standards and perform work using safe work habits Proficient in the use of custodial equipment with knowledge of all aspects of relating to good cleaning practices and chemical and equipment use care EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: H.S. Diploma or GED required 2- 4 years custodial operation or related field preferred Less than 2 years of professional experience in floor care preferred WORK HOURS: Full Time, Non-exempt Thursday - Sunday 9:30pm - 6:00am SALARY STRUCTURE: Pay Grade 2 (Hiring Range $16.01 to $17.50 per hour) Located just minutes from downtown Richmond, Virginia, the University of Richmond blends the intimacy of a small college with exceptional academic, research, and cultural opportunities usually found only at large institutions.
