Annual Salary: $58,305.00 - $62,400.00 Hourly: $29.90 - $32.00 Department: General Government, Maintenance & Trades Division: Plumbing FLSA: Non-Exempt Job Description: This role will perform plumbing installation and maintenance at City owned facilities. Examples of Duties: Installs/repairs fixtures and devices such as sinks, toilets, faucets, showers, drinking fountains, water heaters, yard hydrants, irrigation systems, etc. Installs pipes associated with water, gas, air or other liquids. Assembles fittings and valves. Installs backflow devices. Measures, cuts, threads and bends pipe for required installations Clears obstructions from sinks, showers, toilets, etc. Tests plumbing systems for leaks and other issues. Receives work orders, prioritizes and distributes them according to division procedures. Estimates project materials from blueprints, and purchases necessary supplies. Maintains records of all work performed. Carries out daily supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, including: planning, assigning and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems; leading work crews on jobsites, and reporting heightened problems or situations to management. Performs other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications: High School diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) and 4 years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid state issued drivers license. Master Plumber Certification. Ability to manage work orders on smart phone, tablet and/or computer. May require ability to obtain certification in Confined Space Training and/ or Respiratory Training within 6 months of hire. Other Necessary Requirements: May require evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. Works extended hours, as necessary, during shutdowns of equipment and/or buildings.
