Pay Range $84,200.00-$115,800.00 Annual This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus. Position Overview: This position is responsible for communicating and supporting JM core values and delivering the JM experience. This position is also responsible for meeting facility targets for safety, productivity and product quality. He/she will conduct effective problem solving, troubleshoot process and investigate personnel issues in order to develop corrective actions. The purpose of the Production Supervisor's role is to supervise the day-to-day activities of an hourly production team for each work center to ensure manufacturing operations run according to established production specifications and schedules; volume, cost and waste targets; and quality standards. The supervisor will coordinate training, enforce safety guidelines, and interface with other departments in support of production. Your Day-to-Day: Complete safety requirements as assigned Hold direct reports accountable for completing assignments, including safety assignments Supervise, train, and provide direction to production team Plan and schedule the utilization of equipment and maintain maximum productivity levels Investigate root causes/issues that are related to safety incidents, scrap, upset conditions, quality complaints and/or fire investigations Ensure production team understands/complies with established operating systems in safety, environmental, quality and process controls and the company's overall policies Utilize key operating indicators for control of product cost, material usage, machine downtime, expenditure control and other shift functions Accurately submit and approve schedules and hours worked to payroll for all production employees in a timely manner. Analyze production performance statistics/concerns and review with plant leadership team and make recommendations for improvement Prepare labor, material and equipment usage reports Manages a staff of 40 hourly employees (per shift), sets direction and deploys resources. Responsible for performance evaluation, selection process, and performance coaching. Appropriately administer and apply plant and corporate policies The supervisor may support the facility by assuming the responsibilities either of the position above and/or below him or her as needed May be required to perform other related duties as assigned What You Bring to the Team: High School diploma with a minimum of 3 years of operational leadership experience in a manufacturing environment Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2 years of operational leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred) Ability to work a 12 hour rotating shift Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of production processes Strong aptitude for learning and understanding company policies Understanding of OSHA regulations Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook Working knowledge of SAP or ERP systems Strong leadership skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Work environment is typical of a manufacturing facility; may be exposed to environmental conditions of cold, heat, high noise levels, moving mechanical parts, heights, dust/mist/gas/fumes, extensive walking or climbing, etc. Minimal travel required (0 -- 10 days per year) May be required to lift, carry, push or pull up to and including 50 pounds.
